Olympiad Awards

Rules for the prize for the best physics Olympiad candidate.

Each year, the ULB Physics Department awards the ‘Prize for the best candidate in the Physics Olympiads’ in the 5th and 6th years of secondary school, insofar as the Physics Department budget allows. The prizes are awarded to the best candidates in the Physics Olympiad finals, during the ceremony at which the winners of the Biology, Chemistry and Physics Olympiads are announced. The prize consists of 2 books per winner, purchased from the Physics Department's ‘operating’ budgets (budget: around 2 times 30-40 Euros in 2014-15). The Chair of the ULB Physics Department is responsible for organising the prize (choice of books). The awarding of the prize or the modification of these rules may be stopped at any time, following a decision by the ULB Physics Council. Information concerning this prize will be communicated each year, in due course, to the organisers of the Physics Olympiads.
